November 13, 2017 - December 15, 2017
Isolated will delve into the psyches of major Post-War and Contemporary artists whose works exude anguish and detachment in their investigation of the human condition. We will examine how Alberto Giacometti, Frank Auerbach, Francis Bacon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Bruce Nauman, and Mike Kelley translated their psychological monologues through various media including painting, sculpture, and photography. The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue with a newly commissioned essay by art historian Leslie Camhi.
